# SDL_ReleaseGPUTexture

Frees the given texture as soon as it is safe to do so.

## Function Parameters

| [SDL_GPUTexture](SDL_GPUTexture) * | **texture** | a texture to be destroyed. |

## Remarks

You must not reference the texture after calling this function.
