SDL_GetAudioStreamGain

Get the gain of an audio stream.

Header File

Defined in <SDL3/SDL_audio.h>

Syntax

float SDL_GetAudioStreamGain(SDL_AudioStream *stream);

Function Parameters

SDL_AudioStream * stream the SDL_AudioStream to query.

Return Value

(float) Returns the gain of the stream or -1.0f on failure; call SDL_GetError() for more information.

Audio streams default to a gain of 1.0f (no change in output).

Thread Safety

Version

This function is available since SDL 3.1.3.
